Hey looking for a laptop for school would greatly appreciate your help.

I want a laptop that I can use for school work and still be quiet whilst doing so but I still want it to run most of the games in my steam library (gta v, csgo, etc.) if I push it.

I'm looking around the £500 price range and have found one that might be a bit overkill but seems quite good for the price: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Zoostorm-7270-9057-15-6-Inch-Gaming-Laptop/dp/B017AYVJ62/ref=sr_1_3?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1485614761&sr=1-3

All I'm worried about is how loud it would be during low intensive tasks.

I was looking at the dell 7559 but they sold out ones with an ssd for a good price and i didn't want to wait for a listing in my price range to pop up again.

If you have any other suggestions for what I could look at buying I appreciate it.

I agree wholeheartedly that the Zoostorm is "a bit overkill" for your stated needs. It does also raise a few red flags. According to PriceSpy this machine retails for £1,200 as of late January 2017:

The Amazon listing, at £490, seems to be a case of "too good to be true" - unless it's a used/refurbished machine. There is an indication elsewhere on the page that this might be the case, but it doesn't say so explicitly in the listing itself. I strongly recommend that you contact the seller to make sure.

If the Zoostorm turns out perfectly 'legit' at £490 then it could conceivably be the bargain of the year. Zoomstorm is a small UK-based manufacturer offering gaming PCs in the £1,800-range...

In contrast, the Dell 7000-series offers lots of online user experience to go by and an extensive customer support structure. If you can get your hands on a Dell 7559 in this price range, you'll find it perfectly suited for school work, perhaps more so than the Zoomstorm, and a capable gaming machine.

Finally, if it turns out that neither machine is available (and the Zoomstorm was taken down while I was writing this post!) you could consider this Acer:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Acer-Aspire-F5-573G-GEFORCE-GTX950M/dp/B01M7XAIPH/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1485697093&sr=1-2

The GTX 950M card should be just about enough to run GTA V and the 15" frame is likely to be less cumbersome to lug around at school.
