Hi all,

I just bought a new Asus laptop. Last night, after Windows had an auto update, I on my laptop and it showed it was 'working on update'. After 3 hours it was only still at 10% so I left it to update overnight. However when I on my laptop this morning, it went to the BIOS utility ez mode, with 4 options: F9 Default, F10Save & Exit, F8 Boot Menu and F7 Advanced Mode. Tried F9 and F10, but when the laptop restarts it just goes back to BIOS utility mode again. F8 boot menu states that 'the system cannot find any bootable device'

Please help me thank you so much!

Hi Pinguinnn

I have been encountered the same problem before. And im trying to change the boot configuration for CSM to <enable>. This should open the ROM configuration and change it to <enable>. And then save & exit. If it still start to BIOS menu just check the configuration you just make. The CSM would become disavle again. if this happen go to security menu and <disable> the key security. Then Save & Exit

But the most common case for this problem is hardware malfuncton, be sure that your hard drive is fully functioning and properly installed

Same thing here. After it wouldn’t open then it would freeze then it would allow one action. Researched these before I bought it sorry I didn’t buy a delll. Now ha e to pay to get this fixed 1300 miles away from home.
