It may well be inside, under/behind the battery. That is a very common place that manufacturers put it.
You should, however, be able to actually get the info when the computer is on as well.
Go to "Control Panel" and then click "System". Here you will see basic info about your computer. It should have a section titled "System" which will have the info about the computer listed there. Brand, etc.
