hi! i have an aspire f5 573g with I7-7500U and a gtx 950m, with an internal battery connected to the mainboard directly with a socket, can i disconnect the battery and use safely my laptop with the AC power?
the battery is not soldered

Solution
Pulling out the battery out of the laptop and only using AC power is widely known as myth to prolong battery life.
Even if the myth was true, I would prefer having the battery in. Having blackout could damage the laptop which is far more expensive than the battery.

Yeah, you should be able to do that. Of course, if you accidentally pull out the power cable, or you have a power failure in your house, the latptop will immediately shut down.

I knew a guy who would always take the battery out and run it on the AC power when he was at his desk, he claimed that it would increase the lifetime of the battery. There are loads of tips and tricks out there on how to increase the life of batteries but I'm just too lazy to care.
