Lets ask the community..

I have this Samsung notebook: model: np300e7a

It has an HDD in it and an Optical drive.

As soon as i replace the HDD with an SSD, and i boot up the notebook, it gets to the screen where it only recognizes the Optical drive.

When i check the bios it says:
Sata port 1 nothing
Sata port 2 Optical drive.

But as soon as i plug in the HDD, the notebook boots up normally. ( I actually Cloned the SSD with the HDD, no errors nothing, both healthy.)

* The SSD is an Samsung 750 EVO Brand new
*I updated the BIOS to the latest possible
* Ive checked all the options, tried everything on off ahci etc etc.

NOTHING, I even tried another SSD, it does not get recognized in the Bios.

Community HELP! What can i do to make the notebook recognize the SSD?

THANKSS ALLOT!

Hey i may not be any help but since no one else has responded, i shall try. Have you searched for the 750 evo drivers?
I had the 960 evo (m.2) the bios update worked for me. So im interested. Also have you tried looking in device manager? it may need a format/reformat?

Hi there Micheal, Thanks for reply!

I actually updated the bios to the latest. Till now it seems its the Samsung sata connector issue.. Ive ordered a new one to figure out if its the connector or not.

Also ive tried a Evo 750 and an 850 PRO, both didnt get detected in the bios. While they work on other computers (brand new disks though)

When in windows, all drivers are fine.. When adding the SSD as usb, it gets detected in Windows, but not when connection on Sata port.(to boot from)
