My old Bose radio automatically switches itself from AM to FM while I am listening to AM radio. I have changed the battery in the remote, and the problem persists. I have moved the remote 10 ft away from the radio and it still happens, though less often. SO ANNOYING!!! How can I make it stop changing channels on its own??

To eliminate the remote as the cause just take the battery out of it. If that stops it get a new remote.
If it still happens then the problem is not the remote.
To eliminate any stray infrared light as the cause cover the IR receiver in the radio (or the whole radio) while it's playing.
If it stops then you need to move or shade the radio.
If it continues then the problem is inside the radio. Bose service being what it is if the radio is out of warranty it may be time to replace it.

The only way I can use the radio is via the remote, but I like the idea of taking the battery out while it's on. At least I will be able to see if it switches to FM on it's own during that time. Then I can replace the battery to turn the radio off. Thanks for that suggestion!
