I've searched the forums enough to try some stuff but to no avail. I've renewed my IP, made sure I wasn't in airplane mode (people talking about a physical button that's accident pressed sometimes), I've disabled and re-enabled this and that with no results. I've plugged it into the router and it can connect just fine, but, as you can imagine, it won't when I'm trying wirelessly. Interestingly enough, I can connect my laptop (wirelessly) to any other wireless connection that isn't my own (girlfriend's house, university all works just not at my house). Help much appreciated because even though I am a computer person, I deal mainly in software engineering and programming related work. Thanks in advance!

Run "cmd". In command prompt window, type "ipconfig /all". Post results. There could be a few issues, and this is the best place to start the diagnosis. Also, can you please provide your router model number?

Yeah my cell phone, roomate's gaming consoles, my main desktop computer all connect wirelessly, along with anyone else who visits. Wireless router is Netgear Wireless-N Router WNR2000. Ipconfig came back with all of the adapters reporting "media disconnected" (I forgot to mention that in my description)

Go to your hardware manager and make sure that your wireless network adapter is functioning correctly.

Go to your network connections page and confirm your wireless connection is there. Right-click on it and choose properties. Confirm IPv4 is checked... then go to properties of IPv4 and confirm all addressing/etc. is set to "automatic".

My Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 is "working properly" according to device manager. IPv4 is checked and all of it's properties are set to automatic. Also all drivers are "up to date".

I am having this same problem and posted a question myself. I'm so frustrated.... I did the system restore-brought it back to factory specs and it doesn't connect. How do you check to see if you are blocked? My WIFI occasionally will connect but within seconds its kicked off the network. I also was able to connect to the WIFI at Best Buy so I know that it can find a network-just not mine!!! HELP?
