I pretty much narrowed my choice to these two models of 2-1s.

My only question is: how does the i7-7Y75 compare to the 7500U? I'm very skeptical of these M processors. XPS 13 (the regular laptop) would be my choice, but the wife wants the 2-1 option. I'm just not convinced and before I shell out 2k (with 16GB RAM, 512 SSD, QHD option) I was wondering what do you guys think.

Thank you so much,

Intel "M CPUs" operates a much lower clockspeeds to reduce power consumption. They can Turbo Boost when necessary, but they will scale back down when there is very little CPU load. See link below that compares the two CPUs.

Personally, I prefer laptops with a 1920x1080 screen since higher than that you need to rely on scaling so that text and menus in generally are not so tiny that they are illegible for most people without the need for scaling. However, that is a personal preference. Also QHD screens draws a lot more power than 1080p screens because they have more pixels and each individual pixel requires power.
