Toshiba Satellite S55t-B5335 laptop (with windows 10) and my 2, w, s, and x has stopped working time from time. There are times that it would not work unless I had push lots of pressure on to the keys. Can someone help fix it?

If it is requiring you put a lot of pressure to make them work, it sounds like those keys are going to need replacing, and possibly the whole keyboard (depending on that models setup).

First try this...

1. Uninstall the keyboard driver.
2. Reboot the computer (without reinstalling the driver).
3. When it restarts, it should reinstall the driver on its own.

If this doesn't fix the issue, you may wish to try connecting an external keyboard and see if it works fine. If it does, then I would look at the key/keyboard replacement.

I have a Toshiba Satellite A665-S6093 with a similar problem - a handful of keys just stopped working (but different ones from those you list). The "broken" keys are not geographically related in any way - randomly spread across the keyboard (unlike yours, 2-w-s-x, which are all in a vertical line).

I bought a new keyboard and installed it, and guess what - the exact same keys are still "broken." To me this confirms that the problem is not in the keyboard.

So keep that in mind if you think buying a new keyboard will fix it.

I ended up fixing the problem by getting a Logitech wireless keyboard. And then a new laptop.
