Connects happi;y to roku but when try to stream live tv get purple screen +DCV unauthorised. Content disabled. How do I authorise. (Stick works beautifully on TVs with HDMI ports)

Solution
RCA doesn't have HDCP because it is an analog signal. Basically what happens is the ROKU sends a message saying - you're just a TV and not a recording device right?

But your converter going from HDMI to RCA can't speak, and it is throwing away all that digital garbage as it converts.

So when the ROKU asks if it is a legit TV - the ROKU gets no response, and cuts the signal assuming you must be a pirate.

The fix is to only use HDCP complaint televisions, which as you have discovered, is pretty much any TV that has HDMI.
