Hi I have recently purchased the aforementioned laptop and after less than a month of use Im running into the problem of it turning off after about 10 minutes of use on battery power. It is not a shut down, or sleep operation but something akin to removing the laptop battery or just closing the laptop by keeping the power button pressed.

If this didn't start after having made any changes to the settings, then I would be contacting the manufacturer about a repair or replacement.

Was this a new laptop? Sounds like weak battery or charger not charging battery. Need more input. Did you install anything like new OS or update anything recently. Did this happen all of a sudden say from 100% power of 2 hours++ to this?? Any liquid spills? Did you swap someone with wrong charger perhaps accidently...
Are you setting the laptop on the bed and it's overheating? Do yiu have to plug it in again for it to reboot?? Does it reboot from startup or say windows resuming?

I've had the same issue, returned the unit to Acer, they denied any fault, they reimaged it and sent it back, I still have the same issue.
