So no lights come on when you press power button on your laptop correct?
Have you tested the power adapter (using a multimeter test the center and the outside of the barrel plug).
If power adapter is good then it is either your motherboard or other part in your laptop.
You can try removing memory, hard drive, cd drive, wifi card or battery. If still does not turn on then your motherboard is dead.
If your power supply is a replacement one (so not the one that came with your computer), then those have been known to fry laptops.
I alwasy STRONGLY urge people to only use geniune OEM power adapters as I have seen many laptops destroyed from cheapo ones.
In vast majority of cases a replacement motherboard between time and labor costs more then the laptop is worth, often more thne a cheap new laptop.
