Looking to get the best price for performance here although i dont need much.

The PC is for my mother and all she really does is play facebook games and surf the web.

I dont want a note/netbook or a mac

I dont do laptops or branded PCs so i dont really know what i can get around the budget.

Right now im scrolling through reading specs on ebay but would appreciate it if someone could give me some tips on what i should look out for.

TIA

I would only buy a $100 laptop if I could see it run first.
Obviously, you can't do that on ebay.

Better off getting an android tablet if she just does bare necessities. It's really rare to come across laptops that come in that price range, and if they do then they are likely not very good - at all - like probably wont even play your moms facebook game. You can find a cheap used decently sized tablet that should could take wherever with her and be able to play facebook games and surf the web.

Yea, that wasnt very helpful. i can return the laptop if it doesnt run. Ebay has a buyer protection policy for items sold not as described.

Im not paying 4-500 dollars for a new laptop for her to play facebook games.

Oh, I'm sorry.
I didn't realize that the effort of buying a $100 laptop from ebay, and potentially having to return it was a poor comment.

At that price point, from ebay...take what you can get. I wouldn't stress too much on the individual specs.

Or, you could get this, new, for $170:
