Hi,

Just bought a new laptop this afternoon an ASUS K501UQ-DM021t 15.6”. It came with “8GB-D4 RAM stick” in it and has additional spot for another RAM stick in it i.e. 1 x SO-DIMM socket.

The problem is once I removed all the screws from the bottom of the laptop I can’t separate the bottom plate easily to access this RAM component. I’m afraid of exerting any force just in case I break my new laptop!!

If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

Thank you for your time

P.S. I have add additional RAM to my old TOSHIBA L750 Satellite in the past. Obviously a different laptop but still I not a complete novice at this.

best advice for some experienced user, to do this nowadays - check if someone did it already on youtube - the wil guide you through the different snips and snaps that have to be moved, without breaking something inside *grin*

I really love youtube for that. If you do not find - try to check ifixid or others.
