About a year ago I got a problem with my HP G62 laptop, and I just want to confirm that the problem is what I think it is.

What happened is that I was using it, and I guess it overheated or something, and my graphics card stopped working.

The sollution I used, is I reinstaled windows, but did not install the dedicated graphics card drivers, because as soon as I installed them the first time, the screen went black.

So... I think it needs a reballing or something but I'm not 100% sure if it is that or not.

The thing is, the first time I reinstalled windows and installed the dedicated graphics drivers, sometimes it would work for a few seconds, and then would go black.

I've been using only the integrated graphics since then and it has worked perfectly since, but I miss being able to play games at decent framerate in this laptop.

Is it a reballing it needs, or is it a lost cause?

Solution
i do personally think it is a lost cause, it would be better to actually upgrade it if possible to any other GPU. Im not quite sure if that model has some room for improvement but im pretty sure thats the most sane solution...
