Hello,
I'm in college, and my longtime Desktop pc died out, i can't afford another one to handle my school & future business editing etc, so i would like to buy a Laptop that would be able to handle it without breaking bank while i save up, most of my video editing = alot of stuff that includes audio aswell as HD quality video.

1. What is your budget? $400-$800 USD

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? 14-16"

3. What screen resolution do you want? good for visuals suggestion really

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? Portable Definately

5. How much battery life do you need? 8+ i guess most of the work will be while plugged in

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)? i won't be playing games on this pc

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
Photo / video editing, programs = hitflim 4 express / sony vegas / photoshop and such, aswell as surf the net

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need? whatever is suggested within the budget and works with what ill be doing

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.
i have none maybe amazon, anyone that is reputable ?

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop? 2-4 years

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
Most of my work will be uploaded, but i'd say any suggestion within the budget

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons. a reliable brand suggest to be honest.

13. What country do you live in? United States

from what i understand msi gives you more power for your money , asus is obviously better , but its also more expensive
