SD Card isn't showing

If it won't show up on any device, then the card won't be accessible to get anything off of it. And were you to do anything on it like format it, that would just erase what is on it.

If it isn't from either of those devices, and is from a different one, then you should put it back in the original device to see if it will still read it. If it does, then connect that device to the computer via USB (don't remove the card) and get the data that way.

NOTE: For future reference, it is better to leave a SD card in a device and connect the device to a computer to get the data, rather than removing the card and transferring the card to the other device. That leads to the card going bad.

But if the card is bad, why does that make it not show the drive when click/open management? It shows the icon of a drive...but no letter designation (like with mine it is F:) and doesn't offer a way to name that drive. Mine has been working fine, it works fine in the camera. Up until this past weekend... I could insert my SD card from my SOny SureShot and all the pics would show up in the F: drive, and I'd copy them to my external hard drive to store. Now...I insert the card and...nothing. Got any ideas how I can show this drive?

Hey Webworkings... I have similar problem...SD card drive does not show up on PC... did just find until last week. The F: drive is for the SD card. I use it with my Sony SureShot camera. It is still "good" as I just today plugged the camera into the USB drive/port and copied everything to the PC that way. But... if I put the SD card in to the SD port... nothing. Any ideas on what's wrong?
