The Dell you plan on buying will likely have a 8GB m.2 SSD in the m.2 slot bay. If so, then you need to remove it to install the 256GB SSD.
You can use the following free software to clone the HDD to the SSD, but I have never used it before, but it has instructions.

Everyone will have an opinion about all manufacturers. I will tell you this, working at a computer repair shop for almost a year now the consumer line of any laptop manufacturer is trash. You should stick to the Business line if you are going to purchase a laptop.

Yeah, but there are no business laptops that comes with a nVidia GTX 960m GPU.
As for the OP's question, the difference between the 7559 and i7559 is the storage. The 7559 comes with a 256GB m.2 SATA SSD. The i7559 comes with a 1TB HDD and an 8GB SSD cache.
In general, reviews for the Dell Inspiron 15 7559 series have been pretty good. There are no real complaints about overheating issues. Negative comments generally focus on the keyboard which is really average for a consumer laptop... meaning it feels a bit mushy to me compared to using the keyboard on a business laptop like the ThinkPad series (which arguably has the best keyboard). Most of the complaints centers around the mousepad / trackpad though from what I can tell. The mousepad seems fine to me, but then again I primarily use a mouse with all laptops so I do not really use the mousepad on my Dell Inspiron 15 7559 very much.
Upgrading the laptop is easy. There is a single screw that holds the underside panel in place. Once it has been removed you will have access to the entire innards of the laptop. I installed an additional 8GB stick of RAM and a 1TB HDD in less than 1 minute... looking back on it I should have spent an extra $30 - $40 to get a 2TB HDD... But no matter, the 1TB HDD is temporary. I actually want to install a 2TB 2.5" SATA SSD, but I will wait until the drops to around $350.
Overall, I am pretty happy with my Dell Inspiron 15 7559.

Thanks so much for your in-depth answer. I will be purchasing a used one from craigslist. My options are the 7559 for $1000 or i7559 for $900. My thought is to get the i7559 and buy a 240gb adata ssd to upgrade it. That way it will be about $30 cheaper. So would the performance be exactly the same between the 2 laptops since they both use an i7-6700hq and gtx 960m? And i assume the os (windows 10) would aready be installed onto the 8gb ssd cache so how would I move it onto the 240gb ssd? Or do i just leave it in 8gb ssd cache? Thanks again!

What are you primarily using the laptop for? If it is just for playing games then getting a core i7 CPU is not a good choice since games do not make use of Hyper Threading (HT) on a CPU with 4 cores. HT is the basic difference between the Core i5 and Core i7. In some cases HT may give you 1 or 2 extra FPS. I recommend you purchase the same Dell Inspiron 15 as I did with the i5-6300HQ fro $740, then install whatever upgrades you want.

I will be using it for university and I'm from Canada that's why the prices are high lol. Sorry I still don't really understand what an ssd cache is. So like I said before, if I wanted to upgrade the storage to 240gb ssd would I just install it in or do I remove the cache (whatever that is)? And I just transfer the OS onto new ssd or leaving it in cache is better idea?
