Hi there ProWolf_32,

Sorry that you are facing some issues with your WD drive. :(

Is the drive being recognized for a while and then disappears, or it is not recognized at all?

If the drive is recognized for a certain period of time and then disappears, it may be a good idea to back up the data stored on the drive until you sort this out.

If the drive is not recognized under My Computer, you can go to Disk Management and BIOS and see if it appears over there and how.

If the drive is recognized by Disk Management, you can run both short and extended DLG test on the drive: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=mFtkbi

Also, it may be a good idea to attach the drive with different cables to another port.

Do you have some...

Do you have some important data stored over there?

Edited: I've added a couple of ideas.

Cheers,
