So this is a bit far fetched I thought, but my dad uses a old Compaq Presario CQ61 laptop and its really showing its age in speed. It's running a AMD Sempron M120 and I am looking at upgrading the cpu to a AMD Turion II M520 since it's only $20. It has the same socket support and ram support but the TDP is an extra 10watts. I can't really find much on people doing this, and I am wondering if swapping the cpu with that and giving a good clean and possible a slight fan upgrade if this would work?
