Well the title is my question. So, I came across this video: https://youtu.be/uRgjMquXJoo and I saw that he is able to display MSI Afterburner's graphs in the top right of his screen as an overlay and have the graphs be transparent aswell.

I have tried some things myself, like detaching the graphs, running my game in borderless windowrd and showing the graphs on top, but since they aren't transparent this looks weird. I have asked the guy that made the video but he doesn't respond to my question.

I don't really need an answer it's more out of curiousity that I'm asking this, but if someone has an answer I would like to know how to be able to do this.

Solution
In Afterburner's settings have you tried all the skins for the UI? His may be a custom transparent skin that he is using while also detaching the graphs. I'd love a minimalistic thin bar that is transparent at the top right of my screen.
