I have two headsets; The kraken 7.1 (not chroma) and a simple headset that uses a headset jack instead of a usb cable. They worked completely fine until today; None of them have sound in the right ear. The problem has to lie with my laptop (HP, running windows 10). I tried going into settings and clicking properties on my headsets to check if the "balance" setting was fine. It is, the right earbud has the same sound as the left one and it's not muted. What's the issue here?

Solution
you can try to uninstall the audio in the device manager and reboot your laptop and let it rediscover the audio and test again you could as well remove the driver reboot and reinstall it new.. possible it is software but I doubt it.
if you have multiple headphone that are not giving you a signal in the right ear, and you tested those headphone in a phone or something like MP3 to confirm they do in fact work properly (process of elimination in life can be tedious I know) I would agree your audio out port has an issue, could be a number of things and visual inspecting it is about as much as you can, short of sending it for repair you may simply consider getting a USB-audio connector and move on for the cost of repair will be far more time and aggravation than plugging a device like this one. and using it instead.

any in this page will do the trick, personally I use a Logitech on my laptop for the same reason.

I tried using my headset that has a headset jack with my phone and it works perfectly fine, so the issue is with my laptop. Are you sure there are no settings or anything I can change with my laptop that will fix this so i don't have to buy anything?
