My brother bought a dell inspiron 15 5559 laptop from USA for me i reside here in India. The specs are intel i7 6th gen 8gb ram ddr3 amd radeon r5 m335 4gb ddr3 graphic card.I installed cs go it was working smooth on maxed settings so installed cod mw1 on maxed settings it lagged a bit. So i searched the internet for solution there it said to update the driver.I went on amd site installed a driver for my windows i dont remember but i might have uninstalled the preinstalled driver. The new driver from amd site was of no use instead it was lagging more so i uninstalled it and went on dell site to get a gc driver for my model. It was just like the preinstalled one but it had some difference.I played cs go and cod mw1 on low graphic but it was lagging slightly which is strange because before doing all this experiments on my laptop it was smooth. So i unistalled the driver from dell site and restored my laptop.I got the same driver as before with some difference again. And the games are still lagging.I think the preinstalled driver is lost how can i get it back? And also how to know that whether i am running a game on intel graphics or amd graphics.

In regard to the driver, if you have a restore point on the computer from before you started changing drivers, this may help you get it back to what it had.

As to the graphics try the following...

Laptop using other graphics card and not the AMD one.

First you need to get it to detect and use the right card.

A. Uninstall, and then reinstall, the latest graphics card driver.
B. Make sure that your AMD graphics card is set as the default graphics card.

Here's the steps on how to set it to default.

1. Open the "Control Center".
2. Select "Manage 3D Settings" under 3D Settings.
3. Click on the "Program Settings" tab and select the program you want to choose a graphics card for from the drop down list.

4. Now select "preferred graphics processor" in the drop down list. (You can see what the automatic option is listed as global setting) If you want to use the dedicated graphics card, select High-performance AMD processor.

Once it is running on the right one, test the system again and see if the problem persists.

For ATI/AMD graphics cards the process varies.

You may need to open graphics then PowerPlay and set plugged in and/or battery to maximize performance.

You can also try going to graphics then 3D and move the slider to performance. Your computer may also have a switchable graphics tab where you can change the settings for individual programs.
