Hi just got a old acer aspire 5250..locked an forgotten..but i charged..hard reset it with f10..cant remember..any way..hardreset went well but after 10 minutes of exploring my new Acer ..it shut off and if the blue light flashing thing there know for.. long story short did the battery.

How is the power. Even left it over a day 24 hours Check out the RAM sticks with it take out the hard drive cleaned it with the star glasses or screen scratch resistant plot as best as I could but still nothing no power anything so I figured it has been abandon for so long it might need an entire tune-up and cleaning because it was working just previously I watched a video on YouTube on how to disassemble it everything went well

now I'm in the belly of the Beast and I need to know what to clean how to clean and what to clean it with also maybe another off-the-wall question might be silly to ask but you guys would know I have a Old Dell it is a latitude c510 / 610 it has Windows XP is there anything compatible I can use to fix or upgrade the Acer with the Dell the Acer is aspirir5250 series thanks a lot guys

Havnt messed with a pc or laptops since 2009..went away and just retured feb.2016.not alot help financially and hotspoting on my phone to the Acer 5250 laptop because the dell is only the internet connection..anyone 1 help a old geek learn some much missed tech stuff..anybody..and any cheap stuff you like to get rid of please let me know..im in texas..[email address removed]

So the laptop was running but won't start now? Have you tried starting it with no battery but while plugged into the wall?

As far as whether you can use parts from the other laptop, you can probably use the RAM and hard drive, as long as the RAM is the same type. (DDR2?)
