I want to connect my auxiliary cord to the audio in rca cable. My problem is the rca cable has the normal red, white and copper wires while the auxiliary cable has copper w/ thin green in the middle, green w/ thin green & copper twisted in the middle, and red w/ thin red and copper twisted in the middle. Can anyone tell me what the colors mean or how I should connect them?? I appreciate any advice thanks.

Solution
Assuming that by aux cable you mean a cable with 3.5mm stereo plug at one end and RCA female plugs at the other so you plug a standard RCA male audio cable into it
The way you are describing the the aux cable isn't clear. You can't hurt anything if you get the right and left mixed up. If the source is a PC you can play a test signal out of the each channel. Reverse the RCAs if needed.
