512GB SSD+1000GB HDD

ASUS £2,319.90

hi,

I would definitely recommend getting a 1070 laptop but the one you listed is quite expensive and the perf. jump isn't big enough to justify additional 1000. Instead, how about this one:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-ROG-GL502VS-DB71-HID3-i7-6700HQ-2-6-3-5GHz/dp/B01KFG3PVO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1481446977&sr=8-2&
here are the specs:

CPU: 6th Generation "Skylake" Intel® CoreTM i7-6700HQ Quad Core Processor, 2.6-3.6 GHz
GPU: nVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 256bit w/ 8GB GDDR5 - Desktop Class Graphics
RAM: 32GB 2133MHz DDR4, Hard Drive: 256GB PCIe x4 SSD + 1TB 7200RPM HDD
DISPLAY: 15.6" FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS Antiglare w/ G-SYNC, OS: Windows 10 Home 64 bit
Price: £1,666.90

cheers

Hi there thanks for the reply, i know the price is big, but in performance wise, are both of the laptops great for gaming for playing games e.g Sims, Grand Theft Auto, Forza, and many other big games?

I have the G752VS. The GTX1070 device works fantastic for me. I have played post of the games in ultra mode and i was surprised to see a seamless performance.

The problem with MSI is the cooling. The G752VS is much better than the MSI GE62VR in terms of cooling. Where performance is concern, the G752VS take the lead as well.

I would go for the G752VS (Not because i have one, but because of the performance and cooling.

Yep 1060 runs games at ultra with no issues.

Yet I think a laptop with a 1070 is better when it comes to price-to performance

You don't even need to spend that much money to get a laptop with a 1070

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-ROG-GL502VS-DB71-HID1-i7-6700HQ-2-6-3-5GHz/dp/B01KFG3QTK/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1481746792&sr=8-7&keywords=gtx+1070+laptop

the GL502VS is not as bulky as the G752VS and performs quite similarly

hi thanks for the reply i don't mind the HDD, as i will be replacing the HDD with my 2TB Samsung 850 EVO SSD, and a M.2 SSD, and i will upgrade the RAM to 32GB, but basically is it a gaming beast that it will run a lot of the demanding titles e.g GTA V, Saints Row 3/IV, Forza, Watch Dogs, COD etc.?
