i have a gateway p 79 intel r core tm 2 duo cpu p8700 @ 2.53ghz 2.53ghz 6.00 ram 64 bit oper 64 bit based process using win 10 what can i do to improve its performance

Next step would be upgrade to an SSD drive. other than that, your pretty much using an almost 10 year old processor. It may be time to upgrade to another laptop if you are looking for a serious performance upgrade.
