Hello everyone. I'm a console gamer who has always wanted to be a PC gamer. I'm a senior in high school so I'm needing a laptop for my college classes. I have been looking at gaming laptops so that I can finally play some games. My tech savvy friend suggested me the MSI 15.6" PE60 6QE-054US Intel Core i7 6700HQ (2.60 GHz) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M 16 GB Memory 1 TB HDD Windows 10 Home Gaming Laptop from Newegg.com. I just wanted to ask everyone else how good this laptop will truly run the games I want. My budget for laptops is up to about $1000. Thanks!

What exactly are you looking for in pc gaming? PC gamers that still stick with pc gaming are either running high spec hardware to run games better then consoles, or play MMOs and free to play games, most of which don't need serious hardware.

The MSI above is good for the latter, you can even jump it up $100 and get an i7/980m at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834234093

Alot of the high end gaming laptops from the last 2 years are finally being discounted below $1000 so now is a time to look at them. Although the asus one is almost 2 years old now. the maxwell notebook cards are a little long in the tooth.
