I recently just got a nakamichi system I have everything connected properly, optical audio, HDMI, and power cords and links but it still isn't producing sound, I set it up through the tv it says device connected the power is on, on the system but i just can't hear anything can someone please help me with this situation?

Did you go through the speaker balancing in the set up of the Nak? This doesn't depend on any input or output connection just speaker connection.
If you didn't get any sound when doing this then the problem is in the Nak HTS.
If you did get noise then the next step is to make sure that you have the optical output of the TV turned on. ARC would also have to be turned on in the TV. To use ARC both the TV and Nak have to support it. Sometimes you have to turn the TV speakers off and change the output type in the TV menu. You probably don't need both.
