My brother is looking for sound system in his new theater room. they ran wires for 4 ceiling speakers but thats it. im looking to use the 4 ceiling speakers for Dolby atmos. They did not run any other wire for surronds, fronts or center channels. My question is if there is way i can use an AV receiver where i use wired for some speakers and wireless for other speakers.

For the most part, you do not use wireless for a home theater. The electronics are not made for that. Wireless speakers are popular if you want to play your iPod anywhere but not really for a home theater. Some speakers systems use wireless for the surround but you are locked in to that speaker-set, if you are asking, I assume you don't own such speaker-set. Even if this is an apartment and you are not allowed to run wires through walls, run them by the baseboard, hide with carpet, blah-blah. then u can use any speaker you want.

Sounds like somebody screwed up big time.
I would suggest placing the receiver so that the front three speakers could be wired to it. If you get a receiver with preamp outputs for the surrounds you could connect an audio transmitter to it. That would eliminate the long speaker connection but you would still need some wiring at the rear of the room. Side surrounds would be impossible without some wiring from one side of the room to the other even if you got the signal to the middle of the room. Wireless subs are pretty common if you can't place that near the receiver in the front.
You may not get proper Atmos from the in ceiling speakers if they are not the right type (directional) and/or placed correctly. Object based surround sound like Atmos has strict requirement for this.
If you build a dedicated room having a professional to at least guide you would be worth the cost. The problems you are going to have to mess around with now could have cheaply been avoided.
