Hi, I have a Alienware 17 R3. The sound is good, but I want a little extra bass. So, I'm trying to figure out how to use a subwoofer with my laptop's internal speakers?

I haven't bought any subwoofer, probably I'll make one on my own, with an aux input.

Solution
The main problem is to get the internal speakers to play at the same time the audio out is active. I think you can do that with one of these:

After that you just need a crossover amplifier for the subwoofer. Since you are going to be limited by the output of the pc speakers you won't need anything big.
You can find parts and help here. They even have kits.

To pull this off, u will have to find a way to output to internal speaker as well as to an external at the same time, on top of my head I don't know of any. Then you simply hookup your sub to the external jack, or bluetooth.

But a little conventional thinking, if you have to use a large-ist external box (there is no magic to subs, size matters), why not may as well go broke and just get a 2.1 speaker set and you are done. The front L+R don't need to be large.
