I have had this model for over a year with no issues. As of this morning when it is plugged in to the adapter it will show as such on the battery icon, and it will show that it is charging (the bar moves from left to right). However it will only charge for about 30 seconds and then the bar stops moving. It will still show that it is plugged in, however it will not charge. If I unplug it and plug it back in I will get about another 30 seconds worth of juice, and then it stops again. And even though it is plugged in the battery continues to drain. I have tried two other adapters with the same result. I assume the battery could be shot, but would it not still take a full charge and then just drain really fast? Anyway I appreciate whatever advice you can send my way. Thanks!

If shot it can act really odd. It can seem to charge fast, and then also drain fast, or it can actually do what you are getting. Now there is the possibility that it is either the connections that the battery uses, or even the charging circuit, but those are way less likely than it being the actual battery itself. You could try recalibrating the battery, but there is no guarantee that will help... http://www.howtogeek.com/172271/how-to-calibrate-your-laptops-battery-for-accurate-battery-life-estimates/
