I currently have an Audiotechnica at2020 xlr microphone which is connected to a Focusrite scarlet 2i2 solo audio interface.
The problem i am having is that in games that i play such as csgo, i get way too much background noise and it doesn't sound like a high quality microphone like it should. Do i need to buy a mixer to make the quality better, if so which one do i get that is fairly cheap and removes background noise?

background noise from the room such as keyboard typing, breathing, etc or electrical background noise like buzzing, etc?

if its background noise from the room please be sure you are:
A) not turning gain up too high
B) have the microphone on a boom arm not on your desk approx 3-5 inches from your mouth
C) using an pop filter
