So I have an Inspiron 17 5000, got it a few months ago and it's been perfect. Except, today the keyboard stopped working, none of keys worked when I pressed them so I decided I'd turn it off and then turn it back on (I didn't know any better). Thing is, when it turned off, the power button led is still on but the fomputer itself is just - off. It's not doing anything, there ain't any backlight or whatever, the fans - I think they're the fans, though I might be wrong - are extremely quiet, as in I need to press my ear right up against the bottom to hear them, and it had previously been heating up. It's still pretty warm, kind of hot.
I've been looking everywhere to fix it but I can't find anything. It won't turn on, it won't respond, it's doing absolutely nothing and the power button led is still on. I don't know what to do with it. Do you think I should just let it run out of whatever charge it has and try turning it on from there or is there an actual fix to this? Cause if not, I'm gonna end up sleeping on this problem (it's night now)
