Got some questions on 4k TVs

Alright so I bought this $250 "4K" 43" tv at Walmart (https

and yeah yeah I know you get what you pay for, but I'm rocking a 720p 24" TV. So looking at this tv how is it for a 4K tv is it like a fake 4K or something since it's so cheap.
Also how good is HDR for TVs ? Is it worth it
PS. I mostly use my tv for my computer monitor and gaming and I'm very close up to tv

I used a 49in Sceptre from Walmart for a long time, it's real 4k, it's halfway decent, though not as fast as a dedicated for computer monitor. HDR, at least in my opinion is kinda gimmicky, more for lower resolutions than 4k. Dial down your AA too to help frame rates out. Enjoy the real estate. If I remember rightly, the panel in those is a TN panel, so not as good at color as an IPS, but somewhat faster, plus, it's a much cheaper tech right now at that resolution. Also, it's 4:2:0 IIRC. 4:4:4 is better color, but again, more costly, also, takes more bandwidth from the computer, so you needs more horsies to push it, not a big worry, most video cards handle the 4:2:0 pretty well. So, ya, it's cheap, but ya, there's the whole 4k there for ya. Picture is nothing to sneeze at though could be better depending on what you came from.

It's not true 4K@60 4:4:4. Text won't be solid color and be fuzzy. Spend a bit more and get this as it will do true 4K@60 4:4:4:

It's not true HDR10 since it's a 8 bit panel but you will see noticeable difference streaming Netflix/Amazon 4K HDR contents
