how do I connect bluray, tivo, and surround sound to my new lg tv?

either get sound or vidio on bluray, not both. using 3 hmdi cables.

A
If we had makes and models number we could be specific.
An alternate to above would be use HDMI to connect the TIVO and BD player to the TV.
Most TVs have optical audio output. Connect that to the optical input of the HTS.
Set the TV to output surround sound rather than stereo.
If your HTS supports the superior sounding codecs that BD discs have then this connection will not sound as good as the BD player connected to the HTS directly
