Hello i have an LG TV, i recently bought a used yamaha surround system, the speakers are working great, i tried connecting the yamaha to the lg through regular RCA cables but it didn't work ! There's no sound coming out from the speakers only the tv speakers are working, is there sth i need to do in my tv's settings ? Or maybe use an optical sound cable which luckily the yamahas have ! Thanks

Hello there.

Most modern TVs don't have an RCA audio out. If yours has one, be sure to enable it in the Audio Settings of your TV. Check out for "Analog Audio Out". But the RCA jack on the TV has to written "AUDIO OUT" on it. If there's only two RCA alongside Red/Gren/Blue jacks, then you don't have a RCA out.

The best way to connect your Yamaha is using Optical Cables. Connect one directly from the TV o the Receiver and select the correct input and it should work immediately.
