heey guys,

i got a Acer 7750G here and it is overheating.
it almost always get very hot, even when idling in windows or the BIOS. at some point it gets so hot it is not nice to touch the laptop itself. i dont hear the fan spinning but i can let it spin with some software.

the things i did are: replaced the vent, cleaned everything and the bios is v1.21 the cpu is I5

Solution
reset CMOS.

Don't rely your ears to pronounce fan not working, fan spinning slow can be very quiet, download a utility that reads the fan RPM to know for sure.
