In the description of the laptop, it says it has a backlit keyboard-but I cant see that or find that. Tried FN+spacebar. No go...Anyone..how do I turn i t on?

Solution
To clarified the part number who has the backlit keyboard, this number does not have the backlit keyboard : 80RU00FEUS, but those two have the backlit keyboard : 80RU00CWUS and 80RU00D8US.

If the FN + Space bar didn't work, you probably don't actually have a backlit keyboard. Some versions offer it, but don't automatically come with it.

There is usually (and I mean 'usually' not always) a little icon on the space bar if you have it. The icon looks like a, well line with lines coming up from it. Reminds me of either a sunset, or a shining crown. This image should give you a better idea of what I mean.

If it doesn't have an icon that looks like that, it probably doesn't have the backlight.

Yes it does say 80RU, and there is no icon anywhere.
Damned, I will return it. One of the reasons I bought it is the backlit keyboard. The specs on this one are excellent, but it will be returned.
Pretty big mistake in the description of the model I must say.
The sound isnt very good by the way, and the coolerfan was loud.
