As the titles says, what can I do to help keep my PC in good condition throughout the months and possibly years?
I'm very new to PC building and I just wanna know what I can do to keep my PC in a healthy state.

Solution
Be careful of what you download and install.
Blow the dust out once in a while.
Be careful of what you click on.
Use strong passwords.
Don't drop it.

As above but also periodically back up important data. It can also make a noticeable difference reinstalling Windows when things start to feel slow so keeping your data stored and backed up in a tidy way makes this much easier.

Ccleaner is nice for trimming excess fat off of the hard drives every so often.
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is pretty easy going and worth giving a run once in a while.
Make sure you have a high quality surge protector or (ideally)a battery backup.
Don't spill anything on it.

I generally install Ccleaner or Malwarebytes, scan the system, and delete the programs. Otherwise they leave a little "agent" in the system tray, that claims it's going to help but probably just negatively affects performance.

Keep the computer up off of the floor. Just a few inches helps a great deal. Stays cleaner.

In addition, I place my "floor" computers on small wooden wheeled platforms. Can make (DIY) or buy. The wheels make the computer much easier to move/shift for access, cleaning, or retrieving things that dropped behind the computer. Just be sure there is some available slack in any cable connections.

Be careful of what you download and install. More often that not when the user downloads and installs a free software into his computer the malware or hijacker or trojan are hidden in wrappers-layers which warp actually wanted software. Most people use the Default or Automatic install option which means that the malware will be automatically installed on his PC, without user knowledge. The best way to prevent infections is custom installation which allow to be observed exact what is being installed. If there is check box giving permission to install you must always uncheck it.

I just built a PC also and I put screens over all places larger that a crack, on the cracks that are on the edges I put tape, some fabric that has small enough micron to stop dust but not hinder the fans is good enough.

To me prevention seems better than containment.
