Gaming Laptop budget $500

Solution

Look for a used system with an nVidia 960m video card. If you really only want to play it, and are OK with low settings at 720, you can get a system with a 940m chip in about your price range but it won't be very good. About $750-800 is the starting range for a gaming laptop.

That's not possible. No laptop under $500 has a dedicated graphics card that can run GTA V at acceptable framerates at any settings. You could try, but it would either fail to run, or be forced to run at the absolute minimum graphics settings and still get unplayable FPS, under 26 FPS.
