Hello,

I'm debating myself whether I should buy
MSI GT72VR Dominator-032 with i7-6700HQ | GTX 1060 | 32GB | 512GB + 1TB

or

MSI GT72VR Dominator Pro-015 with i7-6700HQ | GTX 1070 | 16GB | 128GB + 1TB.

They are roughly the same price. One has GTX 1060 but has 32GB | 512GB + 1TB while the 015 one has GTX 1070 but only 16GB | 128GB + 1TB. So, which one should I get? Thank you in advance.

Depends what your priorities are. The second would obviously be the superior gaming machine because of the 1070 GPU. It would be much easier/cheaper to upgrade the storage and RAM of the second one if need be at a later date, than it would be to upgrade the GPU of the first one (if it can even be done).

I'd get the Dominator Pro-015.

My priority would be gaming. Planning on playing games like Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 1.
I know that you can upgrade RAM but is possible to upgrade the storage in Dominator Pro-015?? Because I'd like to get 256GB at least. I'm sorry if I'm asking stupid questions. Kinda new to this.

Is your question whether or not you can have the storage upgraded BEFORE purchasing? I would imagine so, if you buy it from a place that does such upgrades if wanted before purchase such as xotic pc. Is there another Dominator available straight from the factory with the exact same specs except for increased storage? That you'd have to research for yourself. I've never worried about such things and have always upgraded storage and RAM myself because it is usually more cost effective.

But in this case you might be better off buying it with the upgrades you want done by the vendor you purchase it from, or buying a higher specced model in the first place, because removing the bottom panel yourself to do upgrades will void the factory warranty. Either that, or wait until the warranty expires to do future upgrades yourself.

My question was if I get it, can I upgrade it later myself. I know that I can upgrade RAM, but I wasn't sure about storage. But I guess you can.

what laptop did you eventually go with as I am using MSI GT Trade up program and trafing in my GT72 2QE 1666 which has a i7 5700HQ, 16GB DDR3 and 980M plus 128 M.2 and 1 TB. I have added another 16GB and 3 more 128 M.2 and raid 0'd them in 2 pairs. I am trading up to a Kaby lake i7 7700HQ w 1060 GTX or 1070 GTX , the 1060 comes with 256 SSD the 1070 comes with 128 and costs an extra 150 over the 400 1060 munit upgrade cost w my trade in
