My laptop keyboard connector ribbon has broken, and therefore I need a new keyboard.

I have found 2 alternatives, 1 will deffo work but is from China and will take a while to come to the UK, and the other is being sold from the UK, but is for a different model.

However, both keyboards look the same, except on the different model one, the connector ribbon is longer. Will this matter or will it work fine?

Laptop is the Asus F553M

Thanks

Solution
If the pins on the end of the ribbon connector are the same size and count, it should fit nicely and you should be fine. Length has nothing to do with it as far as i know.
