My laptop has a huge gaming performance problem
It is an ASUS ROG G551JM.
I got this problem for such a long time and i can't remember and understand how it's happening
For example:
The Crew: with a laptop that has the same specs with mine. It should run the game at high-ultra on 1980x1080 resolution with 45-60fps
But mine ran the game on the lowest setting 1366x768 resolution just to get 24-35fps
Insurgency: It should run at highest setting with 60-80fps
mine ran at ~30fps with low-med and 1600x900 resolution.
Battlefield 4: Mine ran at ~40fps on 1366x768 90% textures scale and lowest setting
My specs are:
GTX 860M 2GB VRAM
8GB of RAM
i7-4710HQ
I'm using Windows 10 64-bit
Extra: i have way better performance back when i'm using Windows 7. And i just reinstalled the whole Windows 10

Solution
Hi there gnud,

The first thing you may want to do is to go to Resource Monitor when gaming and see if there's high usage of something.

Apart from that, there are several things you can do:
- Measure your system's temps.
- Run some stress and memory testing.
- Make sure all drivers are up to data.
- Test your HDD with a brand specific testing tool. Back up the data if there's something wrong with it.

Let me know how this goes,
