Hey there!

I really need your help.

My Acer One 10 is nearly a year old. It has an inbuilt 6000mAh battery which drains like hell. It even keeps draining while plugged in but little slower.

What am I supposed to do now?

When it is plugged in, but still draining, I am assuming the laptop is on (even in sleep or hibernate)? If so, try charging with it actually turned off.

Also, you should check what programs are still running, even in sleep and hibernate, that could be draining the battery. That is the usual cause of the problem.

Yes it charges to 100% when it is turned off but again when I turn it on its charge depletes in no more than 30 mins - 1 hr. And I have gone through the background processes and found no unusual appliations (just system apps).

It doesn't have to be something unusual. Or not seemingly unusual. Did you run it in both safe and regular mode to see what was running and wasn't? Also, have you run a (if not more than one) virus checks, malware checks, etc.? As that stuff can also make the power drain.

If you have checked it all thoroughly then the only other thing I could think of is that the battery is starting to go/not hold a charge well and will need to be replaced soon.

Yes I run virus and malware checks every 24 hours, I have windows defender of Windows 10. And about the safe mode, I really don't know how to boot this thing into safe mode.

How to enter "Safe Mode" when booting the computer.

In Windows 8 and 10...

As your computer restarts, press F8 (possibly a few times) to enter "Safe Mode"

a. Press the "F4" key to Enable "Safe Mode".
(The computer will then start in "Safe Mode" with a minimal set of drivers and services.)

b. Press the "F5" key to Enable "Safe Mode" with Networking.
( Once "Safe Mode" with Networking starts, Windows is in Safe Mode, with additional network and services for accessing the Internet and other computers on your network.)

c. Press the "F6" key to Enable "Safe Mode" with Command Prompt.
(In "Safe Mode" with "Command Prompt" starts Windows in Safe Mode, with a Command Prompt window instead of the Windows interface. This option is mostly only used by IT professionals.)

Now sign in to the computer with your account name and password. (If you have one set.) When you are finished troubleshooting, you can exit "Safe Mode" restarting your computer.

In Windows 7/Vista/XP...

1. Immediately after turning on the computer, or restarting it (usually after you hear your computer beep), tap the F8 key, repeatedly, in 1 second intervals.

2. The computer will then display hardware information and run a memory test.

3. Next the "Advanced Boot Options" menu will appear.

4. In the "Advanced Boot Options" menu use the arrow keys to select "Safe Mode" or "Safe Mode with Networking" and press ENTER.

Thank you.... and yes I have gone through the processes running in the safe mode and compared it with the processes in normal mode... But still couldn't find any suspicious thing....

Well now just because it isn't suspicious doesn't mean it is not the problem. :) Lots of so called fine apps and programs will drain the heck out of a battery, run when you think they are off, etc.

The best way to do this is to work in "Safe Mode" and out of it. Even if you leave it just sitting for an hour or so in each mode. You will get a sense of battery usage and a better picture of if it is being drained more out of "Safe Mode". Which unless the battery is going, it probably is draining due to a program/app.

So I followed everything whatever that was told by Webworkings and others from other websites.... but the problem continued to happen again and again after a short while... But when I started charging without my keyboard connect it charged flawlessly even while watching an online movie...
