I have steam open with a few games loaded and a few more waiting. i have it set to never turn off so its constantly downloading games. Then I'll come back hours later and its froze. The entire notebook is frozen as wont respond to and key presses, ctr+alt+del. nothing. So i have to hold power down for a long time to power off. Any thoughts/ Or suggestions. This has happened more than 1x. Should this be any concern to send back to manufacturer? It came with a user manual/ utilities/ driver cd but this doesnt have a disc drive. I know this thing is powerful so are there programs and "stuff i should be downloading? So far I have a few games downloaded and Steam, uplay, dragon force, geforce experience. This is my 1st laptop/notebook and being precautious. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Also my battery icon does'nt ever show fully charged. Its been plugged in all day and theres still a gap the width of a dime. Unplugged same deal. I was SOOOOO excited to get this notebook from what ive read but now im getting a little worried. Thank you guys, you've been my life-line for a long time now and am truly grateful for you alPlease feel free to comment good or bad. I just need support as this is something i thought i'd never be able to afford. Thank you Lord!

Well if you are accessing a lot at a time, it is completely possible that it is overtaking your resources and that is causing it to finally freeze up and need to be turned off.

It is also possible that between the number of games, the browser being used and your internet connection that you are getting 'traffic jams', so to speak, which are causing it again to freeze.

The only way to know for sure would be to monitor it.

But im not im adding games on steam to play so they download then letting it alone overnight. i was just in elder scrolls online and it froze made a buzz sound n screen turned black. Also the speakers crackle a lot. i built the desktop in my profile pic and it ran beautifully but this laptop stuffs new to me.

I would still stick with what I suggested before. Monitor the resources, as well as the internet connection, and see how they are. The only way to get a better idea of the cause would be to know more about what is going on when it is happening. I had something similar to your problem in the past and in the end it turned out to be my internet connection. :)

Fixed, The buzzing was there was a conflict with this nahimic2 and realtek. You were right, I had too much going on. I was trying to download like 10 steam games plus a few from ubisoft and origin.

I have an issue in some games now. This notebook should handle anything out there i'd think, correct? gtx1070 16gb memory, i7 chipset. I've been maxing everything out in-game. Like Gta5. It'll run for a minute then itll either just crash or i'll get black streaks, kinda in a blob formation then it will crash. I was expecting this pc to stomp mudholes in current games asses. I can play 1st tomb raider fine. Havent tried that many different games as I'm worried. I really don't understand what settings the msaa or those things mean either.
