My sister's Mac book won't boot:

Pressing power causes the apple logo to glow follow followed by a blue screen. There is no startup chime, and nothing else happens. Caps lock etc still work (you can turn them on and off and they glow).

So far we have tried:
- Booting into recovery
- Booting into safe mode
- Wiping the nonvolatile RAM
- Clearing the DMV
- Booting with T pressed for FireWire link

None of these did anything at all...

All advice is greatly appreciated,

Thanks,

What year and model is it? You can do a lookup with the serial number at everymac.com and it will tell you exactly what she has. A blue screen on these is often a failure of the graphics card and some of them are covered by an extended warranty through Apple, so it is worth figuring out exactly what you have.
