Unless you have specific tracking software installed (which I assume you don't, or you wouldn't be asking), it's going to fall somewhere between tough & impossible - either way, you'll need the assistance of the police.

Do you have anything like Dropbox, Gmail, Outlook etc? If you do and your laptop does not have a password, assuming someone was to try and use the laptop 'as is', then those services will have a record of the IP address and, with police backing, should cooperate.

The problem there is, even with an IP, it's difficult to trace that back to a physical address, let alone a specific individual in possession of your laptop.

That all assumes you have any of those services (among others) installed and they attempt to use it 'as is'.
If you don't, then all bets are off. If they are "smart" (as far as thieves go), your drive would be wiped pretty soon anyway, removing that potential for tracing either way.

Ultimately, you need the police and, honestly, I wouldn't hold out too much hope of it being recovered.

*With proof of purchase, Lenovo or Microsoft may have some way of 'blacklisting' it (I'm not sure, and probably not...but they might), but even if they do, that doesn't help you get it back - it would just stop someone else from using it
