I have an issue with my sony Vaio laptop Battery
It shows as "plugged in, Charging" but battery will stay at 11% and wont really collect any charge. If i remove the AC cord, laptop will shutdown immediately. I tried buying new battery and it worked first until it depleted the charge in it and same problem happened again. Im not sure why that is happening. it was fine and suddenly that happened once a friend of mine fixed the place where i put the AC power cord in because it was loose and broken.
is there any solution for that ?

Well, if the connection for the cord that your friend fixed, is using a part that was not good, isn't connected well, etc., this could be the reason. As it sounds like you are not getting anything going from the outlet in the wall, to the laptop battery.

Another way to test is to turn the laptop off, fully. Not sleep or hibernate and then try charging it. If it will charge then, it isn't the port, but the cord that is the issue. As if the cord is damaged at all, it will not charge the battery and run the laptop at the same time. However, if it still won't charge, even when turned off, there is something going on with that connection.
