how do I hook up my USB condenser mic up to my computer

If it has a USB connection, you should only need to connect the mic to the USB port on the laptop. Any microphone should work when connected this way. That said, if there is anything special you want it to be able to do, then you will need added software, as most computers come with pretty bare bones software for recording.
